The artisans of Shikaripara in Dumka district of the state make beautiful Dhokra Jewelleries. Dhokra is non ferrous metal casting using the lost wax casting technique. This technique is mainly used by Malhar tribes and is more than 4000 years old. Jharkhand State Khadi & Village Industries Board has adopted the cluster of Shikaripara. We have provided small buffing machine and marketing support. We will also provide design and capacity building trainings. Some photographs of beautiful Dhokra products are given below.
