Khadi or khaddar simply means cotton, usually handspun. Khadi is Indian handspun and hand-woven cloth. Khadi is a fabric that breathes “warm in winter and cool in summer” It is a hand spun and hand woven cloth which acquired patriotic status during India freedom struggle and it gave a “Swadeshi Spirit”.
Over the years, Khadi has evolved as a fashion wear. The Hon’ble Prime Minister gave the slogan “Khadi for Nation, Khadi for Fashion”.
