The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), established by an Act of Parliament, is a pioneering statutory body entrusted with the planning, promotion, and implementation of programs that nurture Khadi and other village industries across rural India. Working in close coordination with various rural development agencies, KVIC also spearheads research and innovation in production techniques and equipment to strengthen the Khadi and Village Industries sector. The Jharkhand State Khadi and Gram Udyog Board (JSKVIB), formed in 2004, carries forward this vision with a strong focus on quality, branding, and global outreach. The Board has initiated several forward-looking measures, including modernization in the readymade garment sector, collaborations with leading design institutes like NIFT, establishment of Khadi Parks at Amda (Rajnagar, Seraikela Kharswan) and Deoghar, and development of new emporiums to connect artisans with markets worldwide.
With ongoing collaborations and technology adoption, JSKVIB is tapping into both domestic and international markets while preserving the essence of Khadi.
