Target – To provide employment opportunities to 100,000 artisans. To achieve this target we have empanelled 120 groups/organizations.
To develop 50 Khadi clusters in different districts of the state.
The Jharkhand State Khadi and Village Industries Board has plans to set up six Khadi parks in the state, to promote its handloom products and generate employment. These parks will feature the entire range of manufacturing activities, processing of raw material, to washing, dying, designing, cutting, stitching, branding and packaging of Khadi clothing items, all under a single roof. To start Khadi park at “Amda” and “Rajnagar” in Saraikela – Kharsawa districts of the state. This will help in domestic as well as international marketing of our Tasar silk.
To train 550 weaver in Khadi spinning and 300 weavers in silk reeling & spinning.
There is a plan to open emporium in 18 districts of the state.
To open emporium in metro city. First 1500 sq feet emporium is coming up in Rajiv Gandhi Hastshilp Bhavan, Baba Kharag Singh Marg, Delhi.
All operations of Jharkhand Khadi Board will become online from 1st April 2017.
